The 2 main things that set WordPress apart from any of it’s competitors, are themes & plugins.

Themes allow us to change the look & style of our site in a matter of seconds. So for an example. If we want to create an online store website, it’s as easy as installing an online store theme.

Plugins allow us to extend the functionality of WordPress. So if we want to add something to our site that WordPress doesn’t come with by default, we can install a plugin to do the job for us.

Then to make things even better, there are thousands of WordPress themes & plugins available for free!
